    Per , Chelsea have informed Gallagher that he is no longer considered a first-team squad member. Atletico Madrid have had a bid accepted for the England international but he has yet to agree terms with the club.

    Gallagher has rejected a two-year contract extension at Stamford Bridge and the club do not believe that he will fit into Enzo Maresca's possession-based system. His contract expires in 2025 and the Blues appear determined to receive a fee for the player, rather than allowing him to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.
